Company Overview
Enovis Corporation is an innovation-driven medical technology company focused on developing clinically differentiated solutions that generate measurably better patient outcomes and transform healthcare workflows. The Company designs, manufactures, and distributes high-quality medical devices and services used for reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation, pain management, and physical therapy. Enovis products address the complete continuum of patient care, spanning injury prevention, pre-operative planning, joint replacement, post-surgical recovery, and rehabilitation from degenerative conditions or traumatic injuries.
The enterprise conducts its global operations through two primary reportable segments: Prevention & Recovery and Reconstructive. At the core of the Company’s operational philosophy is the Enovis Growth Excellence (EGX) business system. EGX represents a set of tools, repeatable processes, and an organizational culture designed to drive continuous improvement, optimize quality, delivery, and cost structures, and accelerate organic and inorganic business growth.
Business Segments
Enovis operates and manages its organizational structure across two specialized medical technology segments:
- Prevention & Recovery (P&R): Focuses on non-surgical and post-operative orthopedic care solutions. P&R provides rigid and soft bracing products, vascular therapy systems, compression garments, hot and cold therapy devices, bone growth stimulators, and electrical stimulation devices used for clinical pain management and physical therapy. This segment reaches healthcare providers, clinics, hospitals, direct-to-patient channels, and retail channels.
- Reconstructive (Recon): Focuses on surgical implant solutions for elective and non-elective joint replacement, limb reconstruction, and extremities. The segment provides specialized implant systems, surgical instrumentation, enabling digital technologies, and computer-assisted planning tools for shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, foot, ankle, and finger procedures.
History and Evolution
Enovis Corporation was originally organized as a Delaware corporation in 1998 under the name Colfax Corporation, operating for many years as a diversified manufacturing and technology firm. On April 4, 2022, the enterprise completed a major strategic transformation by separating its industrial fabrication technology business (ESAB Corporation) into an independent publicly traded entity. Following the separation, the remaining company rebranded as Enovis Corporation and began trading under the NYSE ticker symbol ENOV.
In recent years, Enovis has pursued an aggressive growth strategy combining organic product development with targeted strategic acquisitions:
- 2023 Strategic Expansion: Acquired Novastep on June 28, 2023, enhancing its foot and ankle portfolio with minimally invasive surgery (MIS) solutions; acquired external fixation assets from SEAL on July 20, 2023; and acquired 100% of Precision AI on October 5, 2023, integrating advanced surgical planning software.
- 2024 Lima Acquisition: On January 3, 2024, Enovis completed the acquisition of LimaCorporate S.p.A. (Lima), a global orthopedic company specializing in digital innovation and customized hardware, significantly extending the Recon segment’s global footprint and technology portfolio.
- 2025 Portfolio Optimization: Completed four complementary acquisitions within the Recon segment and three within the P&R segment. On October 7, 2025 (effective October 4, 2025), Enovis completed the divestiture of its Dr Comfort Footcare Solutions U.S. operations.
